In 2001 when I was a little ten-year-old I rode my first meters on a kitebaord. This moment changed my life. The years before my parents got me into surfing and windsurfing but kitebaording meant a totally new dimension. The sport was so much easier - soon I was doing my first jumps and found my idols. Martin Vari, Andre Philipp and Jaime Herraiz meant the world to me and I met all of them at my first competition in 2002.
Ever since I try to push my own limits and contribute my style to the sport. In 2005 I won my first German Championship and also started to compete in my first international competitions. The European Tour was by far the biggest challenge in my life. In 2010 and 2011 I got Vize-Champion and the title became the biggest goal in my life. This season I got my 8th German Title and got European Champion for the second time. So stoked, best party of my life! Thanks to my sponsors, 360PSE, my parents, my sister and my friends for supporting me all the time!
For the next year I want to fully focus on the World Tour. I got a couple of podiums the past years at the PKRA Best Trick Tarifa (1st), PKRA Slalom China (2nd), KPWT Freestyle Germany (1st) and PKRA Freestyle Venezuela (3rd). Now I really want to go for it! Nevertheless kiteboarding is not only about competing. I finished my school in 2010 and more than ever I am appreciating the lifestyle. Most of my friends are living around the world and love the ocean just as much. Pushing the limits with my friends, getting to know the different cultures and the nature, landing new tricks or just going going for a after beach beer - that is kiteboarding to me.
