Now it´s official! Yesterday we had the pricegiving and I won the Freestyle Competition of the Kpwt on Sylt.
On thurday there was perfect wind for the doubles which pointed out some highlights - Sebastian Bubman came all the way up to seventh place. Stefan could keep his second place in a sovereign but close heat against Peter Tyskevich from Russia! Congratulations to Gisela Polido from Spain (1.) and Kristin Boese (2.)!
In another close heat on a good level I could sustain my first place!!! Yeah, so now I am leading the Kpwt.
On friday the swell got bigger and the whole day the wave contest has been running. Mito Monteiro and Kirsty Jones ripped most and won that thing! My dad also advanced two heats - so he did some party as well!
Saturday was the racing day and sunday the price giving.
All in all it was a well organized event with lots of action, many viewers and perfect party!!!
Yesterday the Seat Kitesurf-Worldcup started on the German island Sylt. For this first Kpwt event there were over 70 registrations and riders from twenty nations! I arrived with my parents and my sister on friday and we already had some great sessions…
Tuesday we had perfect wind for my ten meter Vegas and the sun was shining all day long, so we started with the Freestyle.Luckily there was a wildcard for me and there was enough time to prepare myself…
I had to go against Judic from France and after that against the wave world champion Jose Luengo. My next heat was against Ariel from France who did a nice show, doing some high jumps made me win that one as well! In the semifinal I had a really really close heat with Peter Tyskevich from Russia who beat the worlchamp Jesse Richman before. Meanwhile Stefan Permien won all his heats as well and Leander has been knocked out.
So it was a German final at this worldcup and in another super close heat I won the singles - stoked!
Today there was some racing going on and my dad had a lot of fun out there. We were chilling in the North whirlpool!
Hopefully I can keep my position in the doubles!!!
